Campaign Details
The official launch is set for September 29, with shirts available:

Running throughout October—Breast Cancer Awareness Month—the campaign culminates at the Brookings PRCA Rodeo “Pink Night” on November 8. Every dollar raised will be donated to the Brookings Health System Foundation, directly supporting cancer awareness and patient care in the Brookings community.
2025 Shirt Design
This year’s shirt embodies the campaign’s unifying theme with a navy heather tee featuring “we fight” in bold white text, “together” in pink, and the iconic pink ribbon.
Group and company orders are welcome by contacting Kayla Gullickson at kgullickson@dacotahbankcenter.com.
The “Think Pink Challenge”
Local businesses are invited to join the movement by selecting one day each week in October for employees to wear their Tough Enough shirts, building visible, community-wide solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
Local Impact
All funds raised remain in Brookings County, supporting patients at Avera Medical Group Brookings and Brookings Health System. The campaign also raises awareness about the importance of mammograms, regular screenings, and self-exams.
Since its inception, the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign has raised more than $72,255 for the local community—a milestone made possible by the generosity and dedication of Brookings residents and businesses.
